Charging our batteries worry-free

To make electric transportation easier, we would like to see more ultrafast charging stations along Québec roads, which would allow people to set off with peace of mind, stopping anywhere the scenery beckons—Kamouraska, Val-David or beyond!

By 2035, it will be impossible to buy a new gas-powered vehicle in Canada. In the meantime, there will be more and more electric vehicles on Québec roads.

Quebecers need to implement solutions now so EV drivers can charge their vehicle easily—in both cities and rural areas.

A Hydro-Québec initiative

A rapidly expanding charging network

Launched in 2012, the Electric Circuit is one of the most extensive and most reliable public charging networks for electric vehicles in all of North America.

For the past 10 years, it has allowed EV drivers to top up their batteries whenever they’ve needed to, across Québec and into eastern Ontario. And that’s just the beginning! In the coming years, new, more powerful charging stations will be added to the network.

Charging stations at your fingertips

The ChargeHub mobile app lists the charging stations of several North American networks, including the stations belonging to the Electric Circuit. That spells stress-free travel for EV drivers.
