Sector 2 of the Utshishkau wind farm project covers about 306 km2 and could generate 224 MW of wind power.
Before the preliminary turbine layout is established, several steps are needed:

Once the preliminary plan is finalized, it will be shared with the communities and discussed during the consultations.

The project partners are currently carrying out activities to better study sector 2, including installing equipment to collect wind data, conducting environmental inventories and talking with the communities.
A preliminary plan for the wind farm will be presented in the spring and discussed with the communities during the consultations.
The environmental inventories make it possible to study the animals, plants and natural areas to make sure the project is developed responsibly.
